Attack of the killer cicadas!

Ok, that was a bit sensationalist. But apparently the cicada swarms that Nashville gets are a very big deal. The last swarm, as mentioned in the article, was in 1998. People who were here then told me that everywhere you walked, there was a crunch underfoot. Also, buildings were so completely covered in cicadas that they looked black. Some claim to even have carried umbrellas to prevent them from raining down on them.

And this year's "brood" is supposed to be worse than that.

This is so cool. I can't wait!
